Duncan H. Stewart

Duncan is the Chairman of the Board of the Colorado Springs Technology Incubator which guides new entrepreneurs in the development of their businesses. He is president and CEO of Grant Dental Technology Corporation, a dental implant company.  He graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1993 and majored in Management. He received his MS in Aerospace Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1997 and his MBA from the University of Notre Dame in 2003. He consults for several technology startup companies and is currently serving as interim Chief Operating Officer for Aqueous Biomedical, Inc. His career includes work developing software and electronics and managing aircraft maintenance organizations.

Dr. Andrew P. Armacost

Andy is the Permanent Professor of the Management Department at the United States Air Force Academy, where he teaches courses in operations research and production management. He is a 1989 graduate of Northwestern University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. He received a Master of Science Degree in 1995 and PhD in 2000, both in Operations Research from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His career includes work developing data networks and processing systems, as well as optimization programs for transportation control systems.

Dr. Kurt Heppard

Kurt is an Associate Professor and Director of Accreditation in the Management Department at the United States Air Force Academy, where he teaches courses in strategy, innovation, and international management. He graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1982 and majored in Management. He received his MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1989 and his PhD in Strategy and Entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado in 1998. His career includes work on communications and reconnaissance satellites and space systems.

  • April 15, 2011 - Record Sales of PointScribe

    Ultrathera Technologies, which entered into a technology transfer agreement for the purchase of Pointscribe in 2008, has now -- after upgrades and additional bells and whistles -- commercialized the PointScribe product.  In Q1 2011, Ultrathera Technologies has hit record sales and expects this progress to continue as it is utilized in the learning disability, as well as general, education arenas. Learn more.

  • December 15, 2010 - FalconWorks and USAFA Renewed CRADA

    FalconWorks and the US Air Force Academy have renewed their Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) for five years. This agreement allows FalconWorks and USAFA cadets and faculty to continue working together to design and build technology-based solutions for disabled individuals and our community.

  • November 30, 2010 - FalconWorks Board Announces New Directors

    The FalconWorks Board has added two individuals with practicing experience in therapy and rehabilitation to their Board of Directors. Scott Rea is the owner of Edge Rehab and Wellness in Colorado Springs. He supervises delivery of occupational and physical therapy services in an outpatient clinic as well as supervising Industrial Rehabilitation services. Greg McGrew is an Instructor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver. He works as a Usability Coordinator for Assistive Technology Partners, a program within the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. At ATP he leads the operation and development of an assistive technology product testing laboratory, which evaluates existing, new and emerging assistive technologies. FalconWorks is privileged to have two such qualified individuals working actively with the FalconWorks teams.
